Incidentally, the above points out that horsepower is actually the key to moving a load. A 340 hp gas engine (given equivalent gearing) will pull just as well as a 340 hp diesel although at a higher rpm.

If it is pre-08, you can have a Banks system installed that will increase the HP by 40 or so and boost torque to around 1000 lb/ft. My suggestion, learn to drive it within its capabilities.
