WebMay 11, 2008 · I just fired up a rebuilt 350 chevy today with flat tops, mild cam (420 In. 442 exh. lift and 262 In. 272 Exh. adv. duration) 76cc heads, aprox. 8.5-9.0 compression, 600 vac sec. Holley, Mallory Unilite dist, stock exhaust manifolds. Seems to run good at 25 degrees of initial timing. Anything below that it kinda hesitates until higher RPM's. WebDec 10, 2011 · So . For a SB Chevrolet, a Comp Cams 255DEH is hard to beat for a stock truck engine. It is a camshaft with short duratuon and high valve lift. That is commonly called a "RV cam".
